She will be questioned as a witness in the case against the suspect SFBJakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Monday summoned former official of state electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) Nicke Widyawati as a witness in the graft case linked to the Riau-1 thermal power plant (PLTU) construction contract.
Widyawati, who is now president director of state oil and gas company Pertamina will be questioned as a witness in the case against suspended PLN president director identified by his initials as SFB who has been named a suspect
"She will be questioned as a witness in the case against the suspect SFB," KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah said here on Monday.
The anti-graft body is also scheduled to question three other witnesses in the case against SFB on Monday.
They are PT PLN Corporate Planning Director Syofvi Felienty Roekman, PT PLN Senior Vice President for Legal Corporate Dedeng Hidayat,and PT PLN Regional Business Director for Maluku and Papua Ahmad Rofik.
Widyawati once held several posts in PT PLN, including commerce and risk management director, corporate planning director and strategic procurement director.
On Sept 17, 2018, KPK also questioned Widyawati as a witness in the same case against the former deputy chief of the House Commission VII identified by her initials as EMS and the former social affairs minister identified by his initials as IM, who were named suspects in the case.
At that time, KPK confirmed a meeting between Widyawati and EMS. Being the planning director of PT PLN, Widyawati was also supposed to have a knowledge of the Riau-1 thermal power plant (PLTU) construction contract
KPK implicated SFB for graft in the Riau-1 thermal power plant construction contract on Tuesday (Apr 23).
The commission has accused SFB of accepting a bribe from Blackgold Natural Resources shareholder Johannes Budisutrisno Kotjo in connection with the project.
