"We, the presidential and vice-presidential candidate pair number 02, rejected all the results of the vote recapitulation of the 2019 Presidential Election announced by the KPU on Tuesday morning," Prabowo Subianto said at a press conference in Jalan Kertanegara IV, Jakarta, on Tuesday.
Prabowo revealed that his team had provided evidence of alleged fraud on May 14, and would not accept the vote count results conducted by the KPU, as long as the calculation was based on the alleged fraud.
Prabowo said he has provided an opportunity for the KPU to improve the process of the vote recount, in a bid to reflect an honest and fair election.
"But until the end, there was no attempt by the KPU to improve the process. Therefore, as we said on May 14, we, the presidential and vice-presidential candidate pair number 02, reject all results of the vote recount of the 2019 Presidential Election announced by the KPU on Tuesday morning," Prabowo said.
Prabowo added that his team will continue to seek legal efforts, in accordance with the constitution, to defend the sovereignty of the people whose constitutional rights have allegedly been taken from them.
"Our position was quite clear on May 14, and after that it became a guideline for our future stance that there were other legal and constitutional efforts to pursue," Prabowo said.
In addition, Prabowo called upon the community, volunteers and their supporters to maintain security and public order. The rally to voice opinions was carried out in a peaceful, moral and constitutional manner, he noted.
During the press conference, Prabowo Subianto was accompanied by Sandiaga Uno and members of the National Winning Body (BPN).
