The areas of concern for the Central Sulawesi Representative Council included reports on the utilization of regional budgets for spending on life insurance for refugees in the provincial capital.
"In the city of Palu, the life insurance expenditure for disaster victims at the Palu Social Service is not backed by complete and legal documents," Head of Central Sulawesi BPK Representative Muhaimin Marpaun remarked during the submission of the Examination Report (LHP) on Local Government Financial Reports (LKPD) to nine regional heads in the province in Palu, Central Sulawesi, on Tuesday.
Marpaun said in the internal control system, the BPK noticed that inventory management had yet to be streamlined and the acquisition of disaster assistance had yet to be evaluated.
"Article 20 of Law Number 15 of 2004 on Examination of Management and Responsibility of State Finance stipulates that officials should follow up on LHP recommendations no later than 60 days after having received the LHP," Muhaimin stated.
In the meantime, the Palu mayor remarked after the activity that the Government of Palu City, including the Regional Organization (OPD) in question, should follow up on BPK's finding regarding the Palu City LKPD.
"Our weakness in the Palu city government is a document. That is a recurring finding. I hope this would be resolved," he added.
