The Indonesian Embassy's Third Secretary for Information and Socio-Culture in Stockholm, Fajar Primananda said to Antara, the halal bihalal week was filled with mutual friendship and also provided an entertainment stage complete with band instruments.
Meanwhile, Indonesian Ambassador to Sweden Bagas Hapsoro expressed his gratitude to the Indonesian citizens for their presence. "Thankful that Ramadhan has taught us to keep on piety and fear of Allah (Almighty God) and that the spirit of forgiveness must be maintained everyday," he said.
The bihalal halal is filled with an entertainment stage complete with band instruments. "It's really nice to have a halal bihalal gathering and come to the stage", said Victoria, a member of the Indonesian Students Association who sang the Bohemian Rhapsody song from Queen.
The blazing afternoon did not prevent the attendees from carrying Indonesian dances along with live musics. On the occasion, Ambassador Bagas Hapsoro also played keyboards and guitars with the band. Present among the attendees were Monica Dominique, a famous Swedish pianist who also played music with the ambassador.
Indonesian citizens in Sweden have performed Ied-Al- Fitr prayers on Tuesday, 4 June. While bihalal halal activities were held on Saturday (June 8) to accommodate holidays and so that more Indonesian citizens could attend.
