The National Police Counterterrorism Squad, Densus 88, arrested four suspected terrorists in Jakarta's southeastern community of Jatibening on Monday and Tuesday (June 10 and 11).

Chief of the Public Information Service of the National Police Senior Commissioner Aseo Adi Saputra confirmed the arrests.

"With regard to information on the arrest of (suspected) terrorists in Bekasi, it is true that Densus 88 made the arrest," he said here on Tuesday.

On June 10, Densus arrested one of the suspected terrorists, identified by his iniitial as H alias AZ, at Lampiran Raya Street in Pondok Gede Sub-district, Bekasi City, at around 09.00 p.m.

The three other suspected terrorists, identified as AAS, I and KA alias A, were arrested at a rented house in Pondok Gede Sub-district, Bekasi City, at around 01.58 a.m. local time on Tuesday (June 11) .

Asep said the police carefully examined the relationships among the suspected terrorists to establish which terrorist cell they belong to.

The four were suspected of harboring fugitives, identified by their initials WS (KAP) and TRRS, who had been placed on the police wanted list. They are also suspected of participating in a military drill in Gunung Salak, Aceh province, and being members of the Abu Zahra cell.
