Jakarta (ANTARA) - A ruling can be taken by the Constitution Court (MK) on the presidential election dispute before June 28 once the judicial panel is ready, the court's spokesman Fajar Laksono stated here on Monday.

"Can we move (reschedule) the ruling ahead? If all can be completed and ready, it (the ruling) can be taken before June 28, 2019," Laksono noted.

The MK has accrued some facts from both camps during the week-long hearing on the presidential election dispute held since Friday (June 14), and a Consultative Meeting of Judges (RPH) is underway to seek the opinion of the court's nine judges, he remarked.

MK judges and some staff of the court are attendees at the RPH that began on Monday (June 23) at the MK building on Merdeka Barat Street, Central Jakarta.

"This is a closed-door meeting. Since early this morning, the meeting has gone well. In addition to the judges, only some staff (of the court), who had already taken the oath, attended the meeting," Laksono remarked.

The meeting will deliberate on issues pertaining to facts collected during the hearing before they could take the ruling, including the draft of the ruling that will be made public.

The MK could not announce its verdict without giving notification to the concerned camps, at least three days prior to the announcement.

The related camps are the National Success Team (BPN) for the Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno pair, the national Campaign Team of Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin, the General Election Commission (KPU), and the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu).

MK's official website will carry details on the notification on the schedule for the ruling.

Laksono was yet unable to give a confirmation on when the consultative meeting could be finalized.

The camp of the losing rival pair of Subianto-Uno challenged the KPU's announcement of the election result in the MK.

The pair leveled accusations of the commission having "systematically, structurally, and massively" manipulated the election and increased the incumbent's tally – which stood at 85 million votes against Subianto's 68 million votes – by some 22 million votes.
