"We are optimistic that tomorrow all would proceed peacefully while we respect the principles of our democracy," Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan noted after a plenary meeting at Jakarta legislative body's building on Wednesday.
Baswedan also expounded that the Jakarta provincial government had continued to offer support for meeting the community members' needs, including traffic management during the rally.
"To this end, for security matters, we continue to coordinate with the Police and Military Command since in principle, the security aspect is indeed managed by law enforcers, specifically the Police," the governor remarked.
During this time, the Constitutional Court has continued to forge coordination over the presence of the two candidate pairs during the hearing for the pronouncement of the dispute cases in the 2019 Presidential Election.
"We continue to coordinate, and we will make sure today (Wednesday)," Head of Public Relations and Internal Cooperation MK Fajar Laksono Soeroso stated at the Constitutional Court Building.
Soeroso noted that his side had prepared seats in the courtroom for each party.
