Jakarta (ANTARA) - The office of the Golkar Party Central Executive Board in West Jakarta, on Wednesday morning, bore witness to an attack of two Molotov cocktails pelted by unidentified persons.

"According to the witness, four unidentified people, aboard motorcycles, came to the building at around 3:05 a.m. local time," Chief of the Public Relations Section of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Senior Commissioner Argo Yuwono noted in Jakarta on Wednesday.

However, the witness was unable to identify the culprits, who had concealed their faces in masks and closed helmets. The police number plates of the two motorcycles are also yet to be known.

Soon after they pelted Molotov cocktails, two of the four people riding a Honda Vario motorcycle turned around. The two other people riding the Yamaha N-Max motorcycle hurled a Molotov cocktail at the witness and hit the office's fence.

The witness remarked that the culprits had attempted to ignite a Molotov cocktail but to no avail and got panicky on spotting the witness, he stated.

The four people later fled in the direction of S. Parman Street in West Jakarta.

The police are yet investigating the case.
