"We are impressed with this district because it has a circuit that complies with international standards. Participants are impressed with facilities in the circuit," Erick Loo said here on Sunday.
He lauded the organizer's well preparation for the international event. "It is well-prepared, (the venue) has met the international standards, and the warm welcome is awesome."
Musi Banyuasin District Secretary Apriyadi said Skyland Circuit that lies in a 27-hectare area has a world class track for international championship.
"The circuit was designed with international standards, with 1.5 kilometer of asphalt track and 350 meters of ground track," he said, adding that racers from seven countries have shared their positive response to the tracks.
Meanwhile, acting head of the district's Youth, Sport and Tourism Office Muhammad Fariz said the government has continued to improve supporting facilities in the venue, including hotels.
"We want to be more professional in the management of the venue to increase local government's revenue," he said.
The government is ready to host local as well as international events to maximize the circuit's function, he added.
Riders from seven countries would take part in the Muba International Supermoto Cup 2019. They are Yang Kai Hubg (Taiwan), Pedro Wuner, Raffi Tangka and Farudila Adam (Indonesia), Lewis Cornish (the U.K), Keneth San Andreas (The Philippines), Aqil Rusyaidi Bin Shaharum, Abdul Rahman Bin Ahmad, Bryan Kuang Fuyou and Mohammad Fazli bin Kamaruddin (Singapore), Dominic Fletcher (Autralia), Muhammad Habibullah bin Mohd, Mohammad Khairi bin Zakaria, Mohammad Khuzaini bin Mahmood, Ahmad Daniel Haikal and Mohd Dahnial bin Yunasri (Malaysia).
