Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) gave directions pertaining to the relocation of the capital city to East Kalimantan aimed at boosting progress in work culture in Indonesia.

"Construction of this capital city is not merely relocating locations or buildings. However, once again, we want to see a change in the system and a shift in the work culture," the president stated in his initial remarks at the opening of the State Capital design presentation at the Presidential Office in Jakarta on Friday.

With this goal in sight, the head of state is upbeat that the concept of developing a new visionary capital will lead to the development of a smart, comfortable, humane, and environment-friendly city.

The president instructed that the city to be built will contain a government zone, education zone, health facility zone, financial center zone, and research and innovation zone.

"Hence, through this we seek an economic transformation from what we have today to a smart economy," the president emphasized.

Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Minister of National Development Planning Suharso Monoarfa, and Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Sofyan Djalil, among others, were present at the meeting.
