Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will shortly appoint an acting spokesman to replace Febri Diansyah, who decided to resign from the post.

"Insyaallah, (God willing), we will soon appoint an acting (spokesman) today or on Monday at the latest," KPK Vice Chief Nawawi Pomolanggo stated in Jakarta on Friday.

Pomolanggo remarked that the commission is yet engaged in discussions over a suitable candidate to hold the post of acting KPK spokesman. However, he chose to not reveal details on the candidate for the post of KPK acting spokesman.

The anti-graft agency is expected to select a KPK spokesman in January 2020 along with candidates to fill in six vacant structural posts, he remarked.

"The definitive KPK spokesman will be selected along with candidates for the six vacant structural posts in January 2020," he remarked.

The vacant structural posts include the chief of the legal bureau, director of investigation, deputy for investigation, director of public complaint, director of information and data management, and deputy director of information and data management. (INE).
