Jayapura, Papua (ANTARA) - A Trigana Air Service cargo aircraft skidded off the runway at Sentani Airport in the easternmost Indonesian province of Papua on Tuesday morning.

The B 737-300 aircraft, bearing register number PK-YSG, skid when it was about to fly to Wamena City in the province, the airline company's general manager for Sentani Airport, Anthonius Praptono, stated.

The aircraft, piloted by Captain Marsa and co-piloted by Anggian, experienced disruption and overshot the runway near taxiway D when it was about to take off.

The plane, with four crew members aboard, was towed away from the scene.

Speaking in connection with the quantity of cargo carried by the aircraft, he admitted to not yet having received a complete report on it.

"I am participating in a leadership meeting and have not received a report on its cargo," he added.
