"Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport is AP I's largest airport. On the first days of the corona outbreak, there was a policy to halt flights from China, and the impact on our airport in Bali was the cancellation of at least 35 flights per day, originating from 22 cities in China, including Wuhan," CEO of PT AP I, Faik Fahmi, stated in Jakarta, Friday.
Out of the 35 daily flights, some 6,800 passengers come in Bali from various cities in China.
"The impact is rather significant, and we have calculated the probable financial losses of our earnings from the cancelled 35 daily flights from China in the Bali airport, which is around Rp48 billion. That is counting only the flights from China," he stated.
