Although they have already tested negative, they should be carefulJakarta (ANTARA) - Two coronavirus (COVID-19) positive patients, whose laboratory results showed recovery from the infection, will be discharged from the hospital to subsequently undergo independent quarantine for 14 days at home respectively.
"These 06 and 14 patients have tested negative twice. We educate them on preparing to go home. At home, they should conduct self-isolation (independent quarantine)," Achmad Yurianto, the government’s spokesperson for handling COVID-19, stated at the Presidential Palace Complex, here, Wednesday.
Yurianto noted that the local Health Service will monitor developments in the condition of the two patients while undergoing quarantine at home.
The spokesperson noted that during independent quarantine, both patients must curtail activities outside the home, wear a mask, and keep their cutlery and drinking equipment separate from others.
"Although they have already tested negative, they should be careful," Yurianto emphasized.
As of Tuesday (Mar 10), the government data showed 27 patients, who had tested positive for COVID-19 in Indonesia.
With two patients testing negative for COVID-19 and one COVID-19 patient having died, as of Wednesday, there were 24 COVID-19 positive patients in Indonesia.
According to Yurianto, the condition of the 24 patients has shown improvement.
Until Wednesday afternoon, the government had examined 736 specimens of patients from across Indonesia in a bid to find cases of the disease caused by an infection with COVID-19.
