The new patient has been identified as a 36-year old woman holding a Singapore Work Pass, stated chief of the information, social and cultural function of the Indonesian Embassy, Ratna Lestari Harjana, in a press statement released on Tuesday.
The Indonesian citizen is the 237th person to contract the coronavirus in Singapore, she said.
Harjana said the Indonesian citizen, who has no history of travel to any COVID-19 affected country or region, is receiving treatment at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) of Singapore.
The Indonesian national had earlier come in close contact with a Singaporean citizen who visited Indonesia from March 3 to 7, 2020, she added.
Harjana said one of the nine Indonesians who tested positive for the coronavirus in Singapore has made a full recovery. The 44-year-old Indonesian, who has been discharged from hospital, has been identified as Case 21.
Of the remaining Indonesian nationals who tested positive for coronavirus in Singapore, Case 133 is undergoing treatment at the National University Hospital (NUH), Case 147 at NCID, Case 152 at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH), Case 170 at SGH, Case 181 at the Gleneagles Hospital, Case 182 at the Gleneagles Hospital, and Case 212 at NCID.
