Batam, Riau Islands (ANTARA) - Two Indonesian nationals, whose diagnostic testing came positive for COVID-19 infection, have fully recovered and received discharge from the hospital.

Ratna Lestari Harjana, a spokesperson from the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore, remarked that the two Indonesians were identified as cases 21 and 237. Case-21 had reportedly recovered on February 18, while case-237 had a rather recent recovery.

"We are optimistic of more recoveries soon," she noted in a short message received in Batam, Friday.

The spokesperson further revealed that case-237 was a 36-year-old Indonesian, a Singapore Work Pass holder, who had contracted the virus in Singapore on March 16.

Meanwhile, up until now, the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore recorded that a total of 31 Indonesians had received a positive COVID-19 test result. Two have made full recovery, while one died.

Some 28 Indonesians are currently undergoing treatment in several hospitals in Singapore, of which 26 are in stable condition, while two others are receiving intensive treatment in the ICU.

The Indonesian Embassy has continued to closely monitor and coordinate with relevant authorities over the handling of Indonesian citizens.

The Indonesian Embassy in Singapore reminded all Indonesian citizens in the country, and those planning to visit of the validity of the DORSCON status indicative of the need for high vigilance, Harjana stated.
