"We are doing this for the common interest of the public in order to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission," First Inspector Tri Teguh Mulyono, head of the traffic section of the Bengkayang Police, remarked here on Wednesday.
The local police also requested the residents of Bengkayang to always face masks, especially during outdoor activities, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and implement social and physical distancing.
Based on latest data from the West Kalimantan Provincial Health Office on Wednesday morning, West Kalimantan had 51 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including seven recoveries and three deaths. As many as 11 are being treated in isolation rooms and 30 in intensive care unit rooms
The province also recorded that the number of patients under surveillance reached 71, while the number of people under monitoring numbered 8,444, and patients not exhibiting symptoms reached five.
