The Fair attracted a total of 106,000 offline visitors and 160 million online views. Seven overseas online matchmaking sessions were held targeting the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Chile, etc., and achieved an intended turnover of $4.66 million.
While expanding the international market, this year’s Yiwu Fair also spared no effort in boosting the domestic market. 42,000 domestic professional buyers checked in at the Fair, up 8% compared to last year.
More than 50% of the exhibits are marked as “up to the standards”, covering all ten major exhibiting categories. During the Fair, a total of 20 national standards were issued, including “Milk Bottles and Nipples for Infants and Toddlers” and “Technical Requirements for Ecological Textiles”.
It is worth noting that this year, Yiwu Fair specially dedicated 19 poverty alleviation booths to those enterprises in rural areas, aiming to promote domestic and overseas sales for them. During the Fair, the 12 enterprises received orders and intended orders worth nearly $2 million.
A series of other activities were held during the Fair, such as the Symposium of Market Trends Under the “Dual Circulation” Era, the Conference of “Belt and Road” China (Yiwu) World Small Commodities Innovation-Driven Development Conference, 2020 International Small Commodities Creative Design Competition, 2020 Yiwu Daily Necessities Procurement Summit for Retail Enterprise, and 2020 Yiwu Live E-commerce Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition.
