I inform (the public) that as of November 2, 2020, Wings Air will serve Kupang - Ruteng  and Kupang - Lewoleba flight routes everyday.
Kupang, E Nusa Tenggara (ANTARA) - Low-cost carrier Wings Air will open two new flight routes in East Nusa Tenggara province from November 2, 2020.

The carrier will operate daily flights on the two new routes — Kupang - Ruteng and Kupang - Lewoleba, chief of the East Nusa Tenggara Provincial Transportation Office, Isyak Nuka, said here on Wednesday.

"I inform (the public) that as of November 2, 2020, Wings Air will serve Kupang - Ruteng and Kupang - Lewoleba flight routes everyday," he said.

Trans Nusa was operating flights on the same routes, but shut down services in September, 2020.

The opening of the new flight routes is designed to meet public demand, which was brought to the attention of acting Manggarai district head, Sony Zet Libing, and Lembata district head, Yance Sunur, Nuka said.

"The people of the two districts are finding it hard to travel. Through their district heads, they have made a request for flights from and to the two districts," he added.

"As a government (official) I have talked with the airline to convey the request from the public, and Wings Air is ready to serve the two flight routes," he said.

The administrative process has been completed and Wings Air is scheduled to start serving the flight routes from November 2, 2020, he stated.
