Sarwani made the remarks during the launch of Bank Indonesia scholarships and Virtual Genbi Leadership Camp 2020 in Aceh Province via a leadership & entrepreneurship webinar themed “Build Your Leadership and be a Successful Young Entrepreneur.”
He noted that the 361 students are those selected from the University of Syiah Kuala, UIN Ar-Raniry, University of Teuku Umar, University of Abulyatama, University of Muhammadiyah Aceh, Aceh Polytechnic and South Aceh Polytechnic.
"The GenBI Community may serve as a forum for recipients of the Bank Indonesia scholarships to hold discussions, increase social sensitivity, and foster the spirit and dedication to the public," he stated.
BI is also active in developing the capacity of GenBI members by providing them various training courses, including soft and hard skills, he stated.
"The training courses are aimed at improving individual competence, developing character, and encouraging the leadership spirit on the part of GenBI members to enable them to become excellent and competitive individuals," he remarked.
One of the activities conducted by Bank Indonesia to nurture the leadership spirit of GenBI members is the Leadership Camp held routinely every year. The event was held virtually this year in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
