Surabaya, E Java (ANTARA) - The National Police's Counterterrorism Squad, Densus 88, apprehended another suspected terrorist in the East Java provincial capital of Surabaya on Monday evening.

Chief of the Community Unit (RW) 06 in Moro Krembangan, Krembangan Sub-district, Surabaya, M. Zainal Abidin confirmed the arrest of his resident, identified by his initial as N, at around 15:00 Western Indonesia Time (WIB).

"Densus 88 officers searched the house of the suspected terrorist, identified by his initial as N, and checked (several items) as evidence," he revealed.

Zainal spoke of Densus 88 having contacted him upon arrival from work to accompany them during the search.

However, Zainal was unaware of where N was arrested.

Densus 88 apprehended 12 suspected terrorists in East Java on Friday (Feb 26).

The 12 suspected terrorists were believed to have played different roles in the terrorism network, chief of the public relations division at the National Police Headquarters, Inspector General Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono, stated in Jakarta on Friday.

However, Yuwono chose to not reveal details on the chronology of events leading to the arrest.

The 12 suspected terrorists were identified by their initials as UBS alias F, TS, AS, AIH alias AP, BR, RBM, Y, F, ME, AYR, RAS, and MI.
