The TNI-AD has prepared as many as 102 health facilities aimed at supporting the COVID-19 vaccination for all army members in each region.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - A total of 102 health facilities of the Indonesian Army (TNI-AD) have been readied to facilitate the nationwide implementation of the COVID-19 vaccination program, Army Chief of Staff Andika Perkasa stated.

“The TNI-AD has prepared as many as 102 health facilities aimed at supporting the COVID-19 vaccination for all army members in each region,” Perkasa remarked in the official channel of the TNI-AD here on Friday.

Every country, including Indonesia, is battling COVID-19 that has become a global pandemic.

To address this crisis, the Indonesian government is currently running a vaccination program for its people according to certain stages and groups as a stepping stone to tackling the pandemic in the country.

TNI-AD’s health facilities have been certified and mostly used for vaccination, Operating Assistance of Army Chief (TNI-AD) Major General Surawahadi stated.

“The 102 certified health facilities are under the coordination of the Military Health Center (Puskesad), of which 98 have been used for the vaccination program, while four others have not,” Surawahadi remarked.

The COVID-19 vaccination program will gradually cover all TNI-AD members. Meanwhile, for the central working unit, the Puskesad will cooperate with the Health Ministry.

In addition, the Military Command (Kodam) and the Military Resort Command (Korem) will work with the Regional Health Office in each province and town.
