Medan, N Sumatra (ANTARA) - The National Police's counterterrorism squad Densus 88 apprehended eight terror suspects in the cities of Tanjung Balai and Medan in North Sumatra on Friday.

"Two of them were arrested in Tanjung Bala, while six others in Medan," Chief of the Public Relations Service at the North Sumatra Provincial Police Senior Commissioner Hadi Wahyudi remarked.

Wahyudi chose to not divulge details of the identity of the suspected terrorists.

Densus 88 will furnish further information on the arrest of the terror suspects, according to Wahyudi.

"Densus will provide the information. It is still investigating the case," he noted. (INE)
