The Ulema council, ulema councils in the regions, in East Java, all ulemas have been inoculated with AstraZeneca shots. I think this is a good thing
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin appealed to all ulemas in regions across Indonesia to take the AstraZeneca shots to reassure the public of the vaccine's safety.

During a visit to the COVID-19 vaccination drive for members and staff of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) in Jakarta, Wednesday, where the AstraZeneca shots were distributed, VP Amin stated that the vaccine’s use will be encouraged in the Council's chapters in other regions, including provinces, districts, and cities, to put to rest any doubts arising among members of the public.

"Hence, no further doubts will linger in the minds of the people over its efficacy," Amin noted at the MUI Headquarters in Jakarta.

Moreover, the inoculation, using the AstraZeneca shots, for ulemas at the MUI Headquarters aims to offer a sense of safety and security to the people regarding the vaccine developed in Britain.

"In order to proffer a sense of understanding among the people, the MUI Headquarters is conducting inoculation using the AstraZeneca vaccine to dispel any further doubts," he noted.

Ulemas in East Jakarta had also received AstraZeneca shots back in March.

"The Ulema council, ulema councils in the regions, in East Java, all ulemas have been inoculated with AstraZeneca shots. I think this is a good thing," he stated.
