Jakarta (ANTARA) - Presidential spokesman Fadjroel Rachman confirmed to have not yet heard of President Joko Widodo speaking about a cabinet reshuffle.

"Last Tuesday, I met with the president. He did not even speak about the reshuffle," Rachman noted here on Thursday.

The spokesman emphasized that the government had sent a request for approval to the House of Representatives (DPR) pertaining to the formation of the Investment Ministry and the merger of the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Research and Technology.

"Regarding when, who, and how much will be changed, only the president and God know about it. Hence, I hope (you all will) be patient," he expounded.

The spokesman emphasized that during his administration, the president has demonstrated his responsibility by taking into account the effectiveness and efficiency of any cabinet changes.

"Hence, the most important aspect is that the president maintains a vision for an Advanced and Centric Indonesia as well as continues to target an economic growth of five to seven percent," he pointed out.

In connection with information on the president's meeting with several figures prior to the reshuffle issue, Rachman stated that such meetings were generally held internally and did not involve a spokesperson.
