Jakarta (ANTARA) - The number of active coronavirus cases, or Indonesians receiving treatment and conducting self-isolation, dropped by 681 to reach 101,325 on Tuesday, according to data provided by the COVID-19 Handling Task Force.



Meanwhile, the number of fresh infections rose by 4,824, taking the total count since the start of the pandemic in March, 2020 to 1,826,527.



With 5,360 patients recovering from the infection on Tuesday, total recoveries reached 1,674,479. Meanwhile, the death toll climbed by 145 to touch 50,723.



The highest number of daily cases were recorded in West Java (892), followed by Central Java (851), Jakarta (519), Riau (452), and Riau Islands (227).



According to the task force data, the provinces of Gorontalo, West Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua reported no fresh cases on Tuesday. (INE)
