We must remind the public of following the 5M. We should not become careless. We have to be strong, and the government should become a driving force for the public to remain awake and not become careless and wearyJakarta (ANTARA) - Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian announced that 75 percent of the employees in COVID-19 red zones are allowed to work from home, as the government had extended micro-scale public activities restriction (Micro PPKM).
Karnavian noted in a statement here on Tuesday that the micro PPKM will be extended for the June 15-28 period.
The minister remarked that public restrictions should be based on the COVID-19 risk mapping in the respective regions.
In red zone areas, 75 percent of the employees should work from home and houses of worship should only accommodate worshipers at 50 percent of its capacity, Karnavian explained.
The minister urged the public to perform prayers at home and abide by the health protocols, widely known as 5M, comprising wearing mask, washing hands, maintaining physical distancing, avoiding crowds, and restricting mobility.

"We must remind the public of following the 5M. We should not become careless. We have to be strong, and the government should become a driving force for the public to remain awake and not become careless and weary," he emphasized.
Drawing attention to the government's assessment, Karnavian pointed to the public having neglected the health protocols, deemed crucial to stem COVID-19 transmission despite vaccination.
This has sparked an increasing trend of COVID-19 infection in the past few days.
Karnavian has urged regional leaders to reactivate the campaign to wear masks and enforce the law in implementing health protocols.
