In responding to the challenges of time and the demands of the people that become increasingly more complex, the Police force needs to improve and strengthen its institutional management
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo highlighted the need for the National Police Force (POLRI) to improve and strengthen institutional management to address challenges that surface as time progresses and the increasingly complex demands it brings.

"In responding to the challenges of time and the demands of the people that become increasingly more complex, the Police force needs to improve and strengthen its institutional management," Widodo remarked during the commemoration of the 75th Bhayangkara Day at the State Palace in Jakarta on Thursday, streamed via the Presidential Secretariat YouTube Channel.

The head of state additionally noted that the force should systematically streamline policies, planning, and organizational policies as well as those pertaining to budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation by utilizing sciences and technologies to support a modern POLRI.

The president extended his greetings on the occasion of the 75th Bhayangkara Day and commended POLRI’s all-out efforts to handle the COVID-19 pandemic.

Widodo recognized the synergies between POLRI and the military force, as well as the medical workers, ministries, and institutions as well as regional governments in handling the pandemic.

The president then urged the police force to actively support the government's policies in handling the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I once again highly laud them," he affirmed.
