At this moment, we are witnessing that the pressure on hospitals is extraordinary. As a matter of fact, not all (COVID-19 patients) need to be hospitalized. A small percentage of patients can undergo outpatient service or conduct self-isolation.
Bandung, W Java (ANTARA) - The West Java provincial government has begun offering medicine and vitamin assistance for COVID-19 patients conducting self-isolation.

The provincial government is cooperating with 10 pharmaceutical companies to help solve the problems faced by COVID-19 patients conducting self-isolation, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil noted in the press statement of the West Java provincial government on Friday.

Kamil remarked that the provincial government had begun distributing medicine and vitamin assistance in three packages based on the severity of the condition of COVID-19 patients. Package A is for COVID-19 patients without symptoms, package B for COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms, and package C for COVID-19 patients with moderate symptoms.

"Package A for asymptomatic patients comprises vitamins and supplements, while package B for patients with mild symptoms comprises antibody and anti-virus drugs. The package C has strong anti-virus products that are expected to enable patients to recover soon," he revealed.

Moreover, the provincial government is offering information service regarding self-isolation on the website of the West Java COVID-19 Information and Coordination Center (Pikobar) to help COVID-19 patients conducting self-isolation.

Through the service, COVID-19 patients under self-isolation can obtain guidance on conducting self-isolation and tele-consultation service and file an application for medicine and vitamin assistance.

"At this moment, we are witnessing that the pressure on hospitals is extraordinary. As a matter of fact, not all (COVID-19 patients) need to be hospitalized. A small percentage of patients can undergo outpatient service or conduct self-isolation," he stated.

"The number of patients conducting self-isolation is quite large. I have received a report of residents complaining about whom they should consult. They also had no clarity on obtaining medicines and supplements," he remarked.
