"Nationally, our adherence to (social) distancing is lower than our adherence to wearing masks," she noted in a written statement received in Jakarta on Thursday.
Data from 394 districts and cities collected by the task force on July 11, 2021, shows that adherence to wearing masks was less than 75 percent in 95, or 24.11 percent, of the areas, she said.
Compliance with the rule on wearing masks was less than 75 percent in 890, or 26.20 percent, of 3,397 sub-districts. she informed.
Meanwhile, compliance with the protocol on wearing masks was less than 75 percent in 5,282 (26.57 percent) of 19,880 villages) surveyed by the task force, she added.
Meanwhile, 112, or 28.43 percent, of the 394 districts and cities exhibited low conformity in terms of social distancing, with compliance recorded at less than 75 percent, Aisyah said.
As many as 1,043 (30.70 percent) of 3,397 sub-districts and 5,710 (28.72 percent) of 19,882 villages surveyed showed low adherence to social distancing rules, with compliance recorded at less than 75 percent, she added.

Furthermore, the public in seven provinces of Java and Bali, where Community Activities Restrictions (PPKM) have been enforced, has shown low adherence to the health protocols, she pointed out.
In West Java, compliance with the rule on wearing masks has been recorded at less than 75 percent in 814 (23.86 percent) villages, while compliance with social distancing rules has fallen short of 75 percent in 1,017 (29.81 percent) villages, she said.
Low compliance with protocols on wearing masks and social distancing has also been noted in DKI Jakarta, Banten, Central Java, Special Region of Yogyakarta, East Java, and Bali, Aisyah informed. The task force has recorded less than 75 percent adherence in the areas, she said.
The public's non-compliance with health protocols may cause the virus to spread further, she cautioned and stressed the importance of collaboration between regional governments and the public to ensure the health protocols are applied thoroughly.
"This needs our collective collaboration, especially (on part of) the public. The public has to cooperate in applying and reinforcing the health protocols," she said.
As of Wednesday (July 14, 2021), Indonesia added 54,517 new COVID-19 cases, as per data from the COVID-19 Response Acceleration Task Force.
