Cahyadi expressed gratitude for all the assistance offered. He lauded Surabayans working together to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

He noted that the aid was not always handed directly to the city government. He mentioned that some people had assisted by giving away free meals to residences where its people were conducting self-isolation.

"From the depth of my heart, I thank all Surabaya residents immensely. I believe that prayers and the cooperation of Surabayans will help to halt the spread of COVID-19 in Surabaya," he affirmed.

Head of the Surabaya Chamber of Commerce and Industry remarked that his side will support the Surabaya city government in the efforts to stem the spread of COVID-19.
