In conversation with comedian Komeng during the show NGANTRI (Talking with Minister) on Sunday, he pointed out that comedians and content creators had gained greater public acceptance due to the entertainment values they offered.
The laughter and humor response they elicited among citizens were also found to increase immune function amid the pandemic, Uno said in a written statement that ANTARA quoted here Monday.
The minister noted that comedians do not only have positive influence on the citizens’ health by boosting immune function through entertainment but they can also promote health protocols and encourage citizens to ensure the success of the vaccination program through their content.
Uno also remarked that his favorite comedians, such as Warkop DKI, were those with an element of humor in their materials while also criticizing the government's public policy.

"A comedian should be able to bring a viewpoint to comment on every public policy. I really like it when there's a critique or roasting from comedians that can make us more dynamic. With our current comedians, we can receive fresh comments that are accurate but also funny," he stated.
Komeng, whose real name is Alfiansyah Bustami, noted that nowadays a lot was conveyed through comedy, as it is easier to assimilate.
Komeng pointed to a difference between comedy in the current age and that in the past.
Comedy in our current age relies more on delivering materials on the current ongoings through the use of an interesting style of humor, according to Komeng.
