A small group accompanied Vice President Amin and his wife, Wury Ma'ruf Amin, to their private residence at the An-Nawawi Islamic Boarding School complex.
Upon arriving at his private home, the Vice President received the Chief of Staff of the Navy, Admiral Yudo Margono, Banten Governor Wahidin Hail, Commander of the Siliwangi Regional Military Command, Major General Agus Subiyanto, and Banten police chief, Inspector General Rudy Heriyanto.
Then, he headed to the An-Nawari Tanara (Penata) Islamic boarding school on foot to review the implementation of COVID-19 vaccinations for students and the surrounding community.
The vaccination program at the boarding school complex took place at three locations: male students were inoculated at the sports centre, female students in the women's hall, and the general public in the main hall.
The vaccinations were organized by the Indonesian Navy as part of a series of COVID-19 vaccination programs targeting around three thousand people -- one thousand Pesantren students, 200 pesantren administrators, 200 university students and 1,600 people from the community.
After the review, Amin was scheduled to return to his official residence in Jakarta at 4 p.m. local time.

Serang district is targeting to vaccinate 1,259,754 residents. So far, 88,540 people have received the first vaccine dose and 41,911 people have received the second dose in the district.
Banten, along with five other provinces in Java and Bali, is also set to receive 4,500 Sinopharm vaccine doses from the central government for people with disabilities.
The vaccines were received by the Indonesian government as a grant from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
“On behalf of the Banten provincial government, we are thankful for the vaccine quota given. We will secure its implementation later," Banten Deputy Governor Andika Hazrumy said after attending a virtual meeting with Presidential Expert Staff, Angki Yudistia, in Serang last Saturday.
Offering COVID-19 vaccinations to people with disabilities reflects the responsibility to fulfill their rights and is a way to protect them from the virus since people with disabilities also have the same Constitutional rights and legal standing as citizens, as stipulated in Law Number 8 of 2016 on People with Disabilities, Hazmury remarked.
This is in accordance with the issuance of the regulation on the protection of people with disabilities -- Banten Province Regional Regulation Number 14 of 2019 -- as a legal basis for the Banten provincial government to protect people with disabilities, he added.
