Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Communication and Informatics Ministry is working with the National University of Singapore (NUS), Tsinghua University, University of Oxford, and Harvard University for running the Digital Leadership Academy (DLA) Program.

“This program is open and conducted online. Ladies and gentlemen here are able to join the digital leadership academy since we directly work with universities from abroad,” the ministry’s Human Resource Research and Development Head Hary Budianto said.

The digital leadership registration is open on August 19-27, 2021, at digileader.kominfo.go.id.

The program targets bolstering digital competence of governmental and private institution leaders in Indonesia, Budianto said during the virtual edition of the 2021 Indonesia 4.0 Conference Webinar and Expo as noted in a press release here on Friday.

Candidates eligible to register from the public sector comprise state civil apparatuses in ministries and regional administrations, Indonesian Military (TNI), National Police (Polri), parliament members, and academicians. Meanwhile, for those from the private sectors, the program is only available for leaders.

Each of the four world-class universities will present different materials at the Digital Leadership Academy. The National University of Singapore, for instance, will offer training on public policy in the digital transformation sector, including smart city.

The training provided by NUS will be conducted in five batches. The first batch will be held from September 13 to October 13; second batch from September 30 to November 3; third batch from September 20 to November 3; fourth batch from October 27 to November 30; and fifth batch from October 27 to November 30.

The ministry has targeted to enroll 150 participants in the NUS training.

Meanwhile, 110 participants are targeted to join the class with Tsinghua University that will exclusively discuss business in the digital platform. The program will be conducted from October 21 to November 9.

On the other hand, as many as 35 to 50 participants are expected to join the training provided by the University of Oxford in November.

Harvard University’s class will only have six selected participants found to have excelled in the previous classes.
