Jakarta (ANTARA) - Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Teten Masduki has said that he believes the 2021 Jakarta Creative Festival (JaKreatif Fest) would have a big impact on micro, small, and medium enterprises.

"I believe JaKreatif Fest is not only presenting a program that will accelerate digital transformation, but it will also involve the entire network of the capital city's best creative communities and bring the greatest impact to MSME actors across sub-sectors," he said at the virtual opening of the event here on Monday.

The minister said he is positive that the activity initiated by the Jakarta Bank of Indonesia Representative Office would promote leading creative business actors, particularly through the digital transformation of MSMEs.

Meanwhile, speaking at the launch, House of Representatives member Eriko Sotarduga said he believed that JaKreatif Fest 2021 would push the value of MSME products and increase their market access, both domestically and globally.

There would be opportunities and demand for Indonesia's leading MSME products once there is broader access, he noted.

"We are optimistic that more and more Indonesian MSMEs will rise, step up their game, and go international," Sotarduga remarked.

According to head of Jakarta Bank of Indonesia Representative Office, Onny Widjanarko, the event is being held as a form of support for the Proudly Indonesian-Made National Movement (Gernas BBI) and the Indonesian Tourism Pride (BWI) campaign.

The theme of JaKreatif Fest 2021 is empowering creative, innovative, and inspiring new sources of economic growth in the digitalization era to accelerate national economic recovery, he added.

Through this event, the Jakarta office of Bank of Indonesia will seek exchange of information and stories and interactions with activists of sharia MSMEs and representatives from creative industries, the national film industry, Indonesian coffee, Jakarta tourism, and fashion, and promote digitization of payments.
