Jakarta (ANTARA) - State-owned telecommunication company PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk has encapsulated three chief strategies to successfully develop its digital business.

These three main strategies are build, borrow, and buy, Telkom's Director of Finance and Risk Management, Heri Supriadi, noted in a written statement received here on Tuesday.

By applying the build strategy, Telkom is developing the digital infrastructure capability as well as honing the competencies of the companies' digital talents, so that they can provide the best services to the people, he expounded.

Telkom applies the borrow strategy through its strategic partnership with various large technology companies, both at the domestic and global scale, he noted.

One of the examples of such implementation was the agreement for cooperation between Telkom and Microsoft Indonesia that was officially inked last August, he highlighted.

Meanwhile, Telkom applied the buy strategy through several investments that prioritize synergy that could drive the digital capabilities of the TelkomGroup, he remarked.

Supriyadi cited an example in which Telkom is investing in several digital companies, both large and startup, at the domestic and global level.

Through its subsidiary company Telkomsel, Telkom had also increased the investment value for the technology company Gojek in Mei 2021.

Through the venture company MDI, Telkom had also invested in over 50 startups in 12 countries.

Through such investments, the company was not merely aiming to increase capital gain but also to focus on fostering synergy toward the TelkomGroup.

Maintained work focus, along with consistent application of business strategy, has enabled Telkom to record an annual consolidated revenue growth of 3.9 percent to reach Rp69.5 trillion.
