Since the COVID-19 threat has not yet ended, I call on all school members to remain careful and vigilant by staying disciplined in adhering to health protocols.Jakarta (ANTARA) - Vice President Ma’ruf Amin and Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan witnessed up close the face-to-face learning activities conducted at several schools in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The duo first reached SD Tarakanita 5 elementary school in Rawamangun, East Jakarta, at 8:25 a.m. local time and thereafter headed to SMK Penabur, a Christian senior high school, in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, and lastly visited the vocational school SMKN 19 Jakarta.
During their visit, Amin and Baswedan directly witnessed the face-to-face learning activities and held discussions with the principal of each school regarding the implementation of health protocols following resumption of direct learning.

“Since the COVID-19 threat has not yet ended, I call on all school members to remain careful and vigilant by staying disciplined in adhering to health protocols,” Amin emphasized.
Health protocols must be strictly followed in a bid to stem the spread of COVID-19 in schools, he affirmed.
He also urged schools reinstating face-to-face learning activities to conduct weekly evaluation, especially pertaining to the implementation of health protocols for the safety of every student.

“If there were any confirmed positive cases or likelihood of leading to new clusters surfacing, then take decisive action immediately for the safety and comfort of all parties,” he affirmed.
Early childhood, primary, and secondary education director general of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Ministry Jumeri and strategy and system deputy of National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) Raditya Jati also attended such activities.
Meanwhile, Vice President Amin was accompanied by human development policy support and development equity deputy of Vice Presidential Secretary Suprayoga Hadi, communication and information special staff of the Vice President Masduki Baidlowi and Vice President’s special staff Bambang Widianto.
