Cash assistance of Rp1.2 million for each of street vendors and food stalls has been channeled for the first time in Medan with the help of police and military personnel
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian government has disbursed Rp377.5 trillion, or 50.7 percent of the Rp744.7 trillion allocated for the national economic recovery (PEN) program, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, has said.

The disbursal of budget funds for the healthcare program grew significantly to Rp93.45 trillion from Rp47.71 trillion in the second quarter of 2021, he informed at an online press conference on the evaluation and enforcement of public activity restrictions (PPKM) in Jakarta on Monday.

Budget spending on social protection increased to Rp108.16 trillion from Rp66.43 trillion and spending on priority programs rose to Rp58.04 trillion from Rp41.83 trillion, he said.

The budget funds channeled to support micro, small, and medium enterprises rose to Rp59.93 trillion from Rp51.27 trillion and funds spent on the provision of business incentives climbed to Rp57.92 trillion from Rp45.07 trillion, the minister added.

As many as 69.7 million people from 514 districts and cities in 34 provinces have registered for the pre-employment card program, Hartarto informed.

In 2021 alone, the number of people covered by the program has reached 4.3 million, with 3.2 million completing training courses and 3.04 million receiving incentives totaling Rp6.82 trillion, he said.

Regarding wage subsidy for the social safety net, the government has disbursed Rp1 million to each of the 3.4 million workers covered by the program, he added.

Meanwhile, the realization of Presidential assistance for micro businesses has reached Rp15.25 trillion, or 99.3 percent of the target, the minister disclosed. The assistance has been channeled to 12.71 million micro businesses, he said.

“Cash assistance of Rp1.2 million for each of street vendors and food stalls has been channeled for the first time in Medan with the help of police and military personnel,” he added.
