Jakarta (ANTARA) - IndiHome, which is a part of state-owned telecommunication company TelkomGroup, has launched a program called 'Cool Indonesia' in a bid to support Indonesian's art talent.

"The Cool Indonesia Program is a golden opportunity for people who have art talent such as singing, dancing in order to promote Indonesia on the international stage and to perform at the World Expo Dubai 2020," Telkom's Consumer Business Service Director FM Venusiana R said in a written statement here on Saturday.

So far, more than 600 talents that have joined the program, she informed. Auditions for the Cool Indonesia Program began on August 17 this year and will end on September 23, she said.

Cool Indonesia is an exclusive program by IndiHome to find creative people who are passionate about Indonesia's art and culture, she said. This is IndiHome's effort for helping preserve Indonesia's signature arts amid globalization, she added.

Participants selected for the program will have the chance to perform at the World Expo Dubai 2021, a prestigious performance art event, which is scheduled to be held from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022, Venusiana informed.

The showcased performance must have an element of Indonesia's culture and art, she said.

Participants will be given a free rein in terms of developing the idea and the skill that they have, whether it is dancing, music, and other art forms, Venusiana said.

The participants' performance will be judged strictly and objectively by creative director Rangga Djoened, and professional Indonesian art choreographer Dudy Gunawan, she disclosed.

The winners of the program will be announced on September 24, 2021, she added.

Along with Indonesia Cool Program, IndiHome is also providing a platform for people to share inspirational and uplifting stories through the #LebihBaikSebarYangBaik social movement, she said.
