Jakarta (ANTARA) - State-run oil company PT Pertamina (Persero) won four awards in the Indonesia Sustainable Development Goals Award (ISDA) 2021.

The four awards are The Top Leadership on SDGs, The Most Committed Corporate on Social Pillar, The Most Committed Corporate on Economy Pillar, and The Most Committed Corporate on Environment Pillar.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto in a statement here on Sunday, lauded the campaign on sustainable development conducted by various parties.

"President Joko Widodo has affirmed the commitment to sustainable development in his state address on August 16, 2021. In future, the government will continue to apply development strategy that take into account green economy principles, green preservation, and blue economy for sustainable welfare of the people," Hartarto said.

ISDA is an annual event organized by the Corporate Forum for Community Development (CFCD) in cooperation with the National Development Planning Ministry/National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas).

ISDA is an appreciation for corporations that have run their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program and contributed to the achievement of 17 points of the SDGs.

Hartarto said, the awards are expected to inspire corporate sector to improve the quality of life, regarding environment management as well as public activities.

It would need the collective work of the government, companies, media and educational institutions to reach the target of SDGs, the minister added.

Meanwhile Acting Senior Vice President Corporate Communications & Investor Relations Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman has lauded the company's achievement.

In addition to the four awards won by Pertamina Holding, 23 CSR program conducted by its sub-holdings also won the ISDA 2021 awards.
