Tangerang, Banten (ANTARA) - National Police chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has asked agglomeration areas including Tangerang district, Banten to expedite the completion of COVID-19 vaccinations to reach the target set by the government.

"I ask Tangerang area to expedite the completion of vaccination since Tangerang is one of the agglomeration areas. Jakarta has reached 100-percent completion of the first dose vaccination," the police chief said here on Monday.

The vaccination coverage in Tangerang district is still relatively low, Prabowo said adding that he will ask the police force to help strengthen vaccination acceleration in the region.

"We need to help complete the COVID-19 vaccination, especially in areas of special concern, such as Tangerang, so that the wheels of the economy can run simultaneously," Prabowo said.
