Mataram (ANTARA) - The Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) has prepared 356 health workers for the Asia Talent Cup (ATC) and World Superbike (WSBK) events, the hospital's director has said.

The events will be held at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit in November 2021.

"We have prepared 356 health workers for the ATC and WSBK events," Director of NTB Hospital Dr. Lalu Herman Mahaputra said on Tuesday. He was accompanied by the head of the NTB Hospital Emergency Room, Dr. Sunanto.

The 356 health workers will work in the medical center area at the Mandalika Circuit and the NTB Hospital, Mahaputra said. Thirty specialist doctors, 17 general practitioners, 57 nurses, and 33 other supporting staff will be deployed in the circuit area, he added.

"Besides health workers from NTB Hospital, other health workers from Lombok will also be involved (in providing medical services)," Mahaputra informed.

The NTB Hospital will serve as a referral hospital for ATC and WSBK riders if an accident occurs, Mahaputra said. Meanwhile, spectators will be handled at the nearest hospital, such as the Central Lombok Hospital, West Lombok Hospital, and Mataram Hospital, he added.

The NTB Hospital has also prepared medical equipment such as X-rays, USGs, and Stachers, he said. It has also arranged two helicopters from the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) and Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), he added.

"We also received 10 ambulances as assistance from the Ministry of Health," he said.
