According to data provided by the task force, the number of people receiving the second dose rose by 1,107,393 on Friday, taking the total number of fully vaccinated people to 82,8181,492.
Meanwhile, the number of people receiving the first vaccine dose under the national COVID-19 vaccination program rose by 942,043 to reach 129,089,388 on Friday.
The number of third dose recipients increased by 4,482 to touch 1,180,004, the task force reported.
The Indonesian Government is targeting to inoculate 208,265,720 citizens to achieve community or herd immunity.
So far, the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine had been administered to 61.98 percent of the total 208,265,720 targeted recipients, as per data from the task force.
Meanwhile, the number of residents who have been fully immunized against the virus has reached 39.76 percent of the total target, the data shows.

Earlier, spokesperson for COVID-19 Vaccinations for the Ministry of Health, Siti Nadia Tarmizi, had said that if the country fails to achieve the COVID-19 vaccination target by 2022, more extraordinary events such as deaths from COVID-19 will occur.
"In the end, we cannot completely reach herd immunity if the COVID-19 vaccination target is not achieved," she pointed out.
According to Tarmizi, areas with at least 70 percent COVID-19 vaccination coverage would be able to handle the pandemic, meaning that the spread and number of cases will be lower there.
To boost immunity against COVID-19, the Indonesian government launched a nationwide vaccination program on January 13, 2021. President Joko Widodo was the first vaccine recipient under the program.
The central government is aiming to vaccinate at least 70 percent of the Indonesian population by December 2021.
