AirNav Indonesia is committed to providing the best aviation navigation service for all airlines partaking in the international competition, as long as the airlines have received flight approval from the Directorate General of Air TransportPraya, West Nusa Tenggara (ANTARA) - AirNav Indonesia has confirmed its readiness to transport extra cargo and operate charter and general aviation flights from Zainuddin Abdul Majid International Airport, Lombok, during the World Superbike (WSBK) championship at Mandalika Circuit in mid-November.
"We are ready to cater extra flights requested by airlines through the CRONOS application," AirNav Indonesia's public relations department manager, Yohanes Harry Douglas, said in a written statement issued in Praya, Central Lombok, on Monday.
AirNav Indonesia is committed to supporting economic recovery driven by the WSBK championship by collaborating with relevant stakeholders, such as the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA), the Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), and airport operator Angkasa Pura, he added.
"AirNav Indonesia is committed to providing the best aviation navigation service for all airlines partaking in the international competition, as long as the airlines have received flight approval from the Directorate General of Air Transport," Douglas asserted.

To support the WSBK event, AirNav has also conceived a flight route for helicopter flights from Lombok airport to Mandalika Circuit, he informed. During the flight, the helicopter would fly on visual flight rules and could accommodate WSBK racers, team officials, organizing committee members, spectators, or VIP guests, he added.
"AirNav Indonesia will also provide helicopter flights for health and emergency purposes, and we could fly the chopper from the Mandalika Circuit to hospitals or other areas in Lombok," the manager said.
The navigation service agency will provide air traffic controllers to navigate helicopter flights from and to Mandalika Circuit during the WSBK championship, he informed.
"We will assign air traffic controllers in Mandalika Circuit to provide flight information to choppers, including weather updates and alert services, to ensure smooth, secure, and efficient helicopter flight services," Douglas said.

AirNav Indonesia has installed a new instrument landing system (ILS) to optimize flight navigation at Lombok airport, he said. The airport's runway was recently expanded to 3,300 meters to cater to larger aircraft, he noted.
The satellite-based flight navigation system implemented in Lombok would enhance flight safety, airspace flight capacity, and reduce aircraft fuel usage, he claimed.
"Facility improvement in Lombok airport is our effort to ensure environmental sustainability as we could reduce CO2 emission emitted by aircraft," Douglas remarked.
