If the requirements are complete, the permits will be delivered to the applicants in two to three hoursJakarta (ANTARA) - The Jakarta government is planning to issue five thousand halal certificates and five thousand intellectual property rights registration certificates free of cost to micro, small, and medium enterprises in the capital, an official has said.
“We targeted to issue 100 (certificates) in the previous year and plan to issue 5 thousand certificates next year free of charge to MSMEs,” Head of Jakarta's office for industry, trade, cooperatives and small and medium enterprises Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, said while opening an MSME Shopee campus here on Wednesday.
In the previous year, the Jakarta provincial administration only registered 500 brands with the Law and Human Rights Ministry free of cost, she said.
The free services are part of development efforts to support MSMEs to become more successful, she explained.
The city administration is also offering seven facilities to aid the development of MSMEs, including the Jakpreneur program, she noted.

The seven facilities cover registration, skill training, mentorship, licensing, marketing, and training in making financial reports, she said.
To serve licensing applications, she said her agency is providing door-to-door services to domiciled MSMEs with the help of the Integrated One-Stop Service Office.
"If the requirements are complete, the permits will be delivered to the applicants in two to three hours," she said.
According to data from the Jakarta provincial government, the number of businesspeople joining Jakprenuer has reached 284,778 as of November 17, 2021.
