We must also secure every entry and exit point in each region to ensure that the implementation of PPKM runs well during Christmas and New YearJakarta (ANTARA) - Member of Commission IX of the House of Representatives (DPR) Ratu Ngadu Bonu Wulla urged the government to tighten regulation in tourism places ahead of the Christmas and New Year holidays.
"Please strengthen the regulation in tourism places where crowds could potentially form," Wulla noted in a written statement on Saturday.
The House member also strongly supports the government's efforts to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 by implementing the Level 3 of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) during the new year holidays all across Indonesia.
"We support the government's decision for implementing the level 3 of PPKM for Christmas and New Year holidays," she added.

Wulla later noted that the implementation of PPKM Level 3 across Indonesia has a noble goal to curb the spread of COVID-19 and as a precautionary measure against a spike in cases during the holidays.
The House member did not want Indonesia to face a third wave of COVID-19 as was occurring in several countries in Europe. Various nations, with high cases of COVID-19, have again imposed regional lockdowns as a precautionary measure against the virus spread.
However, Wulla reminded the government to strictly implement the regulation, with no exception, in all regions.
