Jakarta (ANTARA) - Law and Human Rights Minister Yasonna H. Laoly affirmed that advancements in the country's intellectual property aligned with the G20 theme of "Recover Together, Recover Stronger."

"The (advancements in the intellectual property sector) also boost economic recovery and inclusive global health," Laoly stated here on Monday.

To this end, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights will continue to bolster service improvements in intellectual property in the form of products and services that are useful for humans as well as offer benefits and have economic value.

Earlier, the launch of the Automatic Copyright Registry and Approval (POP HC) on January 6, 2022, marked 2022 as the National Copyright Year. The launch aligned with President Joko Widodo's instruction to accelerate the national economic recovery and encourage developments in the areas of science, art, and literature.

The minister noted that since the POP HC service commenced on December 20, 2021, a total of 10,190 applications were recorded as of January 15, 2022. The average completion time in the POP HC service was recorded between five and 10 minutes after a payment was made.

POP HC is integrated with the Ministry of Finance's Simponi, an online payment system for non-tax revenue, and can be fully accessed by the public round-the-clock and from anywhere.

Laoly also welcomed the public's enthusiasm in submitting applications for copyrights through POP HC. Hence, the national economic recovery can be accelerated along with the program launched by the government.

Those keen to submit their application for copyrights registration can visit the website hakcipta.dgip.go.id. After creating a username and password, users can create their identification card, a letter of statement, and an example of their creation.

After submitting, users can pay the non-tax revenue (PNBP) based on the amount of fee listed through the bank. Once the payment is made, the system will immediately process the applicant's submission within a matter of few minutes.
