We continue to improve the quality of service, so that any residents infected with COVID-19 can be treated properlyLebak, Banten (ANTARA) - The Adjidarmo Regional General Hospital in Banten has readied dozens of special beds in the Anggur Room to deal with a surge in the number of COVID-19 cases of the Delta and Omicron variants.
"We have set up 60 beds to handle COVID-19 cases," Head of Public Relations of the Adjidarmo Hospital, Dr Jauhari Assukri, noted in Lebak on Thursday.
The doctor drew attention to the standard operating procedure (SOP) under which patients testing positive for COVID-19 had to be treated in the Anggur Room.
Currently, Assukri's administration had yet to receive any reports of increasing cases of COVID-19 patients.
So far, they have only treated a patient, who was isolated and suspected of having COVID-19, based on the results of the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) examination.

He highlighted other measures adopted to handle COVID-19 patients, including ascertaining the supply of medicines, such as Oseltamivir, Favipiravir, Remdesivir, and Azithromycin.
The methods included in their line of treatment for COVID-19 patients comprised screening, provision of special rooms, and PCR.

Head of the Lebak District Health Office, Triatno Supiono, reminded the residents to be cautious especially at this time when the spread of the Omicron variant was rampant.
The public must comply with health protocols by wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands, he stressed.
They were also advised to reduce travel and avoid large gatherings.
The public must also be vaccinated immediately to create herd immunity, to prevent severe symptoms, or even death in case they contract COVID-19.
"We are positive that if people continue to wear masks, maintain their distance, and wash their hands, it is certain that there will be no third wave of COVID-19," he concluded.
