According to a statement received here on Wednesday, the number of inpatients at the Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Emergency Hospital increased by 156 to reach 4,970 on Wednesday as compared to 4,814 on the previous day.
"The number of inpatients at the Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Emergency Hospital, Kemayoran, in towers 4, 5, 6 and 7 as of Wednesday is 4,970. Earlier, on Tuesday, the figure was recorded at 4,814," he stated while providing an update on the situation at the Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Emergency Hospital on Wednesday.
In the previous week, on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, the number of inpatients at the Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Emergency Hospital had reached 2,946. Hence, the number of inpatients has increased significantly in a week.
Meanwhile, between March 23, 2020, and February 2, 2022, the total number of patients that received treatment at the Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Emergency Hospital reached 141,428, he noted.
Of the 141,428 patients, 134,765 patients were declared recovered, 1,097 patients were referred to other hospitals, and 596 patients succumbed to the virus as of Wednesday, he expounded.
Mudian then provided an update on Galang Island's Special Hospital for Infection (RSKI), Batam, Riau Islands.
"At the Galang Island Hospital, the number of inpatients increased by 13," he noted.

He remarked that the number of patients at the hospital increased, from 67 patients on Tuesday to 80 patients on Wednesday.
He also furnished details on the number of repatriated Indonesian migrant workers currently undergoing treatment at the Wisma Atlet Pademangan COVID-19 Emergency Hospital, Jakarta.
When compared to the day before, the number of inpatients decreased by 342 people, he revealed.
"The number of inpatients (at Towers 8, 9, and 10 of Wisma Atlet Pademangan Hospital) as of Wednesday reached 792 people, comprising 397 men and 395 women," he stated.
Meanwhile, he noted that the number of inpatients at Towers 1, 2, and 3 of Pasar Rumput COVID-19 Emergency Hospital, Jakarta, decreased by 72 to reach 4,295 patients. Earlier, on Tuesday, the hospital had recorded 4,367 inpatients, he added.
