We will implement 100-percent (capacity) face-to-face learning if each school has reached 85-percent vaccination coverage for the second doseTangerang, Banten (ANTARA) - The Education Office of Tangerang District, Banten Province, is still reviewing and evaluating the plan to implement offline or face-to-face learning at 100-percent capacity in schools, according to an official.
"We will implement 100-percent (capacity) face-to-face learning if each school has reached 85-percent vaccination coverage for the second dose," Head of the Tangerang District Education Office Syaifullah stated here on Monday.
Syaifullah explained that the Education Office will permit schools to implement face-to-face learning at full capacity if their second dose vaccination achievements have reached 85 percent in accordance with the standard set by the COVID-19 Handling Task Force.
"However, we are still awaiting reports from the educational units from each region. Since we have currently not received reports, we encourage the educational units to boost the achievements of COVID-19 vaccination," he remarked.

Syaifullah said his office is still communicating and coordinating with the Tangerang District COVID-19 Handling Task Force team regarding the proposal for implementing face-to-face learning at 100-percent capacity as well as evaluating the learning process.
"Alhamdulillah (thank God), for the implementation of 50-percent (capacity) face-to-face learning, it is still running smoothly and safely," he stated.
The Education Office head remarked that if all educational units in the district had achieved the vaccination target, the Education Office will recommend the plan to implement face-to-face learning at full capacity to Tangerang District Head Ahmed Zaki Iskandar as head of the task force.

"Of course, if all (educational units) have met the requirements, we will soon implement face-to-face learning with full capacity," he affirmed.
Tangerang District is currently implementing limited face-to-face learning by referring to the Education Office Circular Number 420/823/Dindik regarding limited face-to-face learning for kindergartens, elementary schools, and junior high schools.
The circular regulates provisions for the implementation of limited face-to-face learning, ranging from parental approval to technical rules to protect students and educational personnel from COVID-19 transmission.
